If multiple users in your organization were previously logging in with a shared email address, all users will now need to login with a unique address. It is imperative that each user has their own email address linked to their account. Linking a unique email address to your account also allows for efficient password recovery.
The PortTruckPass (PTP) application is undergoing an upgrade to introduce new features and enhance security. You may see this referred to as single sign-on or ‘SSO’.
As part of this upgrade, you will gain access to more detailed information related to Containers, Bookings, and Group Codes on your watchlist, with the ability to personalize views and manage access to multiple company accounts.
Some users with a PortTruckPass account will be prompted to make an adjustment to their account in advance of this upgrade, to ensure that they are able to log into the system.
PortTruckPass is a service provided by Sustainable Terminal Services, Inc. a nonprofit corporation created by marine terminal operators to promote secure, environmentally sensitive and efficient marine terminal operations in the Port of New York and New Jersey.
The PortTruckPass truck registration service implements Port Authority subrules as published in its FMC Schedule to No. PA-10, including revisions thereto. In addition, PortTruckPass provides a common portal, known as “TIPS“. TIPS is a tool for motor carriers and cargo interests to permit these entities to efficiently manage and deploy their resources when delivering or picking up cargo at the Port of New York and New Jersey.
